She was 2nd in command to Langhorne, the Captain, and was the stand-in when he was not around. She was in charge of all things paperwork related, and rarely found herself in any physical conflict; an occurrence which, while infrequent, was not a testament to an incapability. > > Piracy was only a relatively recent development in Presna’s life; her life before the sea being largely unknown to others. One thing was guessed for certain, and it was that she had very questionable legal ties to various organisations, and was the one to have commissioned the ship to be built for Langhorne as a gift. There are frequent, unbased rumours of her having close ties with underground criminal organisations, but these remain just that; rumours. > > Presna is pragmatic, formidable, and extremely methodical. She has an unyielding determination in every one of her actions, searching to reach her goals with a clear focus that uses intimidation and intelligence to control any situation she is in. She rarely engages in diplomacy unless it serves her or the ship’s interests, exhibiting a direct communication style that leaves her emotionally guarded and difficult to read, as so to project an image of strength and authority. > > Her social tendencies lean towards cutthroat, thriving in environments when power dynamics are in play. She is adept in leveraging weaknesses to her advantage, displaying a keen understanding of what makes a person tick, and what makes them fearful. She has a willingness to go to any lengths to secure her ambitions, making her a ruthless opportunist that seems to care little for the wellbeing of others. > > Despite her harsh exterior, Presna's motivations are rooted in a desire for respect and recognition in a world that often underestimates her. >[!col] >>[!error|noicon] Trivia >> - Known as _‘The Bloodwater Wraith’_ or _‘Red Wraith’_ for her tendency to show ruthlessness and very little mercy when it came to getting what she needed. >> - Presna’s actions stem from a desire to be seen as competent, well liked, and accomplished. She sees being ‘helpful’ as being kind, and _sees ‘niceness’ as only useless, sugar coating nonsense._ >> - Presna is the type who believes that showing too much pity or coddling someone will only make them weaker, so she opts for bluntness, which unintentionally hurts more than it helps. >> - Presna _acts without hesitation or mercy_, prioritizing her objectives over anyone's wellbeing; she’s methodical in her approach to people, often planning moves well in advance and _accounting for any possibility of things going wrong._ >> - Presna rarely reveals personal thoughts or feelings, _keeping her emotions firmly under wraps._ She believes her apathy is her strongest, and most useful trait. >> - Presna is very opinionated, and often falls into habits of clearly expressing her disdain or disapproval for others in the actions and opinions; an air of superiority >> - Surprisingly, a very _‘swing first, ask questions later’_ kind of person. She’s intelligent enough to know that intelligence doesn’t get you out of a lot of pirate-related conflict. > >![[Pasted image 20250511203939.png|600]] --- # **
Relationships
** |Image|Name|Relationship|Summary| |-|:-:|:-:|-| |[![[silver upside down.png]]](More/More%20Files/Characters/Ascent%20of%20the%20Great%20Deceiver/Silver.md)|**✦ Silver**|*Psuedo-Sister*|
Believing Silver to be too emotionally vulnerable, Presna feels compelled to intervene, fearing that partners might take advantage of her vulnerabilities, leading her to scrutinize Silver's choices, vocalizing concerns that can come off as unsupportive, mean-spirited, overly critical, and just for the sake of being malicious.

Presna struggles to reconcile her desire to protect Silver with her instinct to strengthen her, Presna having both the desire to ‘toughen her up’ and independence, as well as strongly feeling the urge to shield her from the harsh realities of the world.

Presna's protective nature tends to overshadow the possibility of Silver finding her own path.

Silver has the habit of referring to Presna as her sister.
