>[!error|noicon] About
>My current D&D character for the campaign I am in; Other names of hers include *Camille*, *Clove*, or *Maeve*.
>
>Silver had lived her life in the lower class, with her mother and father within the coastal areas of Tormonde. They spared no expense in raising her to become a professional ballerina, going hungry for days to afford her schooling fees, in hopes her future success would pull them out of poverty.
>
>Her father left for the sea for a job offer one day, never to return, causing Silver to abandon her home life and run away to find him.
>
>She was a stowaway on various ships and docks, before meeting Langhorne and gaining his pity. She had joined ‘The Night’s Folley’ thereafter, working as a simple cabin boy and worker before becoming a fully fledged pirate and being allowed to join the others on more adventurous escapades.
>
>She later on met Meldrick, a former apprentice of Langhorne, and would proceed to meet him a few more times before the two had grown closer and formed a relationship.
>
>Meldrick convinced Silver to unknowingly help him overthrow Langhorne’s reign, allowing him to step up as the new captain of the ship, and renaming it to ‘The Jewelled Serpent’. Silver found herself under his thumb, the relationship becoming more overtly abusive and manipulative.
>
>Eventually, Meldrick betrayed her and left her for dead in pursuit of a magical artefact: an ancient map that led to a powerful item that is supposedly able to grant impossible wishes.

>>[!error|noicon] Trivia
>> - Her home city/country is very *renaissance Spain and France inspired*, her mother spanish-leaning and her father french.
>> - Not one to shy away from a fist fight if it comes to it, and even *enjoys a good tavern brawl* a little too much.
>> - Has the *devil sigh invocation*: She can see in darkness (including magical) as if it were daylight. Because of this, she can't sleep without a blindfold.
>> - A huge blade nerd; insane about anything dagger or knife related, and has her own dagger collection. She always ensure to have *at least 3 daggers* on herself or within reach, even when she sleeps.
>>- Being an *ex-ballerina*, she is drawn quickly to anything related in arts, and performance, and especially ballet.*She's almost a theatre kid*, having a great interest in many plays, theatrical performances, and dances.
>>- Can read somewhat okay, and can barely write; she has *hardly legible handwriting*, and usually just gets someone else to dictate her letters for her.
>>- Wildly resilient with a strong sense of independence, she has a natural charm and charisma that works to do what she knows best; _to talk_. Her specialty is people, whether it be knowing how to comfort, or knowing what to say to get under their skin.
>>- _She tends to act rashly_, resorting to animalistic like survival instincts in tense situations, causing a self-perpetuation look of forcing people away and reinforcing her belief of _only being able to rely on herself._

> >[!profile|noicon] Clove
> >![[Pasted image 20250511210439.png]]
> >
> >**Alias**
> >*18-22yrs*
> >Clove was overly childish, reckless, and had little regard (or realization) of consequence. She failed to fully grasp that her actions and words go on to affect other people, and thus lived a life of chasing one temporary fulfillment to the next.
> >
> >Name refers to a ‘Clove Hitch’, and was given to her because she could tie a knot REALLY well.
> >
> >She was wildly irresponsible and immature; treated piracy with the seriousness that a high schooler treated their crew member job at McDonalds. She was Optimistic with a larger-than-life-attitude; that sort of young adult irresponsible you've kind of been coddled your whole life.
> >
> >She was up for literally anything if she was pathetic and love-struck enough; making unrealistic promises, sleeping over at a stranger’s for three days and not telling anyone, getting matching tattoos, getting her name tattooed on someone, buying an absurd amount of gifts, meeting your (disapproving) family, making plans to run away together, accepting engagement proposals, the list is endless; all in the embarrassing name of love, and the eventual interception from Langhorne or Presna.
> >
> >Langhorne had watched her go through phases through the years, the most intolerable being what he called her ‘boy crazy’ phase, apparent something every teenage girl goes through, Presna assured. While not limited to just boys, Tallow/Clove had started her habit of falling for and stringing along poor dock workers, bards at the local taverns, sailors from other ships, and just about anyone that even struck her as even slightly her type, and immediately believing she’d "found the one".
> >
> >Clove was laughably irresponsible and unserious, spending a majority of her time taking life at a slow, carefree pace, enjoying everything life had to offer. This led to some unsavoury habits to be formed, including but not limited to her chronic tardiness, general air of aloofness, and tendency to sneak off frequently against better judgement and instruction to spend her nights at rowdy taverns and the like.
> >
> >Clove grew more and more impatient as the years went by, very little about her father showing itself during that time. What went from active hunts and help from others started to swindle, as more and more of the leads turned into dead ends and wild goose chases. It seemed all but Clove believed there even was a possibility Laurent was alive, and only she seemed to care to continue searching.
> >
> >Clove became even quicker and closer friends to Meldrick Brooks, Langhorne’s former apprentice. Meldrick had left for his own adventure after a disagreement with Langhorne, returning a few times and meeting Clove informally then before they properly met and fell in love not long after.
>
> >[!profile|noicon] Maeve
> >![[Pasted image 20250511210522.png]]
> >
> >**Alias**
> >*23-25yrs*
> >Never Maeve’s proudest moment; she slowly, overtime, became what Meldrick wanted her to be. She was obedient and scared, and found solace only in her vices.
> >
> >Through a long string of etymology the name came from the word ‘Mead-Girl’, to refer to times of ‘great fortunes and great parties’
> >
> >Maeve was the closest she's ever been to a true pirate; the grimy, violent, drunkard types who would steal and kill. She had gotten into a lot of bar fights, and heavily abused drugs and alcohol. A lot of her life as Maeve is completely lost on her; she was drunk/high/unconscious/any mix of the three to be able to accurately remember a majority of those years
> >
> >The relationship grew more and more sour as the years went on, Maeve finding herself hardly ever sober, and Meldrick finding himself hardly ever content. Every waking moment, Maeve spent nose-deep or bottle down in whatever made her stop feeling anything at all, walking through the years with little memory and awareness to deal with the constant depreciative words and hands of Meldrick.
> >
> >Her body felt as though it was deteriorating from the inside out, but she also felt invincible; she believed the euphoria of her inebriation was worth the inevitable crash of pain, exhaustion and feebleness that worsened after every use. She didn’t feel human but gods to feel every drop of your blood pump through your heart and every and feel every particle of breath in your lungs made it more than worth it.
> >
> >Maeve became nothing but Meldrick’s tool, blindingly placated to follow every order and commit every wrong deed, her nervous system far too stimulated in a high to ever think more than once about what was whispered into her ears. She was unstoppable, ruthless, and with little concern for injury or death, in such a way one might have mistaken her for an overly loyal and intelligent flesh golem of Meldrick’s making.
> >
> >During a plundering of a merchant ship, through orders too ambitious and plans too optimistic, Meldrick sought for an unnamed item that, unfortunately, Maeve was the one to stumble upon. The altercation was brief and barely a fight at all, as Maeve was left to drown within the burning quarters of the ship as Meldrick made off with the prize. She found herself choking on the smoke, and slipping into unconsciousness in a slowly filling room, before she awoke again on a beach in Etricor two years later as ‘Silver’.

|-|:-:|:-:|-|
|![[Pasted image 20250511210830.png]]|**✦ Olivia**|*Mother*|
Olivia was the daughter of a high class, wealthy family, who took pride in their appearance. Olivia descended from a long line of ballerinas, and so followed in their footsteps. She was well known for her performances for the years she studied, before suffering a leg injury that left her disabled for the rest of her life.

She met and married Laurent, much to her parent’s disdain, where she worked as a lowly seamstress up until now. Overall, Olivia remains extremely doting and motherly, being very overbearing and overprotective with the intention of wanting what is best for her daughter. Olivia’s care and worry unintentionally comes across as judgemental critique, and subtle, unhealthy beliefs being passed to Silver that had been ingrained in her since she was a young noble
|
|![[Pasted image 20250511210814.png]]|**✦ Laurent**|*Father*|
Laurent had always lived by the ocean, and would always swear to die by it. The ocean was always his first love and his first home, and never dreamt of a life away from it. He was a pale skinned, blonde haired man with significant facial hair to hide his slight cleft lip.

Laurent was ex-navy, part of a militia force raised from the civilian population to supplement a regular army. He was honorably discharged shortly after Silver’s birth due to the development of behavioural issues (PTSD), resulting in him being forced to work as a fisherman and menial sailor with less income.

He was hired on a merchant’s ship to work for a few months to a few years, before disappearing completely without a trace. Silver knows little about her father, with much of her memory fading.
||
||**✦ Elodie**|*Aunt*|
Elodie made herself more of a presence in the Molina-Toussaint’s lives mostly when Laurent was away. She found herself helping the family when she could, and moved in permanently as stay-at-home help with Olivia after Elodie’s own husband had passed away, and Olivia was left without her own husband and daughter, and no way to sustain herself.

Elodie shares a lot of similarities in appearance to her brother, save for the cleft left, and freckles on her skin. Elodie continues to work as a baker, much like her own mother did.
|
|[![[Pasted image 20250511211722.png]]](Meldrick.md)|**✦ Meldrick**|*Ex-Lover*|
Through years of friendship and plundering at sea, the two became extremely close. Silver adored and looked up to Meldrick. Meldrick loved the attention and spotlight, and was known to be able to sweet talk anyone into doing just about anything. Which in the end, is why Silver believed everything he said and did everything he asked when it came to convincing Langhorne to step down as captain.
There came a point where she could not separate her own thoughts from Meldrick’s words, carefully lacing his convictions and half-truths into a noose she would find herself wearing.
During their reign of the ship, the two became inseparable. They were two sides of the same coin; Meldrick, for the Maeve of his tongue, and for Silver, the Maeve of their sword. Together, they made a formidable force, and while some may have called Silver his ‘lap dog’, as Meldrick’s reputation far preceded hers.

But, Silver wholeheartedly believed they were nothing without Meldrick, and believed Meldrick thought so highly of her as well.
|
|[![[GfpbnAebIAAJOEx.jpg]]](Presna.md)|**✦ Presnax**|*Quartermaster*|
Presna’s fierce desire to protect Silver often manifests as harsh disapproval of her decisions, usually her choice in romantic relationships.

Believing Silver to be emotionally vulnerable, Presna feels compelled to intervene, fearing that partners might take advantage of her vulnerabilities, leading her to scrutinize Silver's choices, vocalizing concerns that can come off as unsupportive, mean-spirited, overly critical, and just for the sake of being malicious.
|
|[![[GMUm35gWUAAaGKo 3.jpg]]](Langhorne.md)|**✦ Langhorne**|*Captain*|
Silver felt typically burdened by the weight of Langhorne's expectations, and felt suffocated by his frustrating need to impose his views and beliefs, when she was all too eager to assert her independence. It felt as though she was never truly allowed to leave the nest.

Langhorne had watched her go through phases through the years, the most intolerable being what he called her ‘boy crazy’ phase, apparent something every teenage girl goes through, Presna assured.
|
